Responsible Tourism

Memorable Journeys hold our values and ethics close to our hearts, and being a responsible business is the core of it. We are committed to make a real difference in the lives of the people and local communities we work and interact with, as well as the growth and welfare of the environment. We ensure that our partners and associates also follow ethical and responsible business models.

Responsible Tourism: Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Practices

Responsible tourism encompasses more than just sightseeing. It focuses on giving back to communities, preserving cultures, and ensuring that tourism contributes to local economies. At Memorable Journeys, we proudly embrace responsible tourism by collaborating with ANKURI—The Agency for Non-Konventional Urban Rural Initiatives. Our dedication to responsible tourism is evident in our continuous efforts to uplift rural communities while enhancing the overall travel experience.

Our Contribution to Responsible Tourism

At Memorable Journeys, we understand the significance of empowering communities and fostering sustainable development. By partnering with ANKURI, we actively support numerous initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of rural women. Through both monetary and non-monetary contributions, we help ANKURI advance its mission of creating lasting value for the community.

About ANKURI: Nurturing Seeds of Change

The word “Ankuri” symbolizes a ‘sprouting seed.’ With a commitment to helping India’s rural communities grow and thrive, ANKURI began its journey 15 years ago. Today, it has flourished into an extensive network that empowers over 100 women through various projects focused on education, training, and employment.

ANKURI, a non-profit organization, works tirelessly to equip rural women with skills and resources. It encourages them to actively participate in society and helps combat poverty.

Over the past decade and a half, ANKURI has launched paid internships and student exchange programs in collaboration with foreign universities from the U.S., the U.K., and India. These initiatives, supported by international students, have been instrumental in advancing its vision of sustainable development.
